Through the last 9 years of instruction, I have noticed the growing need for instruction specifically tailored to an owner-operator's and Flight Club's needs.  Much of the typical general aviation training environment I experienced and have seen revolves around renting dated and 'well-used' trainers by customers paired with inexperienced instructors with their sights set on the next better flying opportunity.  As a professional, independent flight instructor, my goal is to assist you in improving your flying skills, earn advanced ratings, transition to other aircraft, and enhancing your proficiency as a pilot.  I have assisted clients in their pursuit of every Pilot and Instructor certificate, all fixed-wing land ratings, as well as a variety of operating privileges.

As safety is an ongoing pursuit and training is an ongoing necessity, I develop a personalized syllabus for your situation, ensuring that all requisite areas of study are demonstrated to proficiency with special emphasis in areas which relate to the purposes in which you operate your airplane for.  In short, there's little need in practicing maneuvers for hours on end when the purpose of your airplane is to support your business where other areas are much more relevant.  As well, there's little need for a Sport Pilot to practice hood work for hours on end when crosswind takeoffs and landings or basic airmanship likely produce a more capable pilot.

From a light piston single to a multi-pilot turbine airplane, I am available to satisfy your crewing needs, one-time, short-term, or long-term.  As a former Part 135 Captain qualified in piston singles through multi-engine turboprop airplanes, and SIC-qualified in a turbojet airplane, I can offer my clients the finest in customer service, top level of safety, security, and privacy, on an on-going basis.  For those missions that I cannot crew, I will be happy to find a capable, local, and appropriate candidate.

Purchasing an airplane for recreation or business is a complex decision with variables and issues that may easily overlooked if you're not partnered with someone experienced in the process...and it doesn't get any easier with a second or third purchase.  Let me put my years of consulting and aircraft acquisition experience on your side to assist with the purchase of one of your largest business assets or recreational hobbies.  From narrowing down initial choices, purchase and insurance qualification, recurrent training and beyond, we will work together closely to see that all your needs are met with your purchase.  Post-training support is also available in the form of aircraft and hanger management.

When owners outgrow their aircraft, I am pleased to offer transition training in those airplanes which I have experience in.  Please e-mail me for my flight experience for any specific airplane.  With over 3000 hours of instruction provided, I have accumulated a wide breadth of operating experience in a variety of makes and models; from household names like Skylane, Baron, and Comanche, to lesser-known models like the Colt, Rallye Minerva, and Ercoupe, I have training files and teaching experience in an ever-growing list of airplanes.

When the unfortunate happens and you require expert witness testimony in a specific area of aviation knowledge, I have been able to assist clients and attorneys in securing judgements or having cases dismissed or withdrawn with the help of other expert witness subject matter experts.  Whether make and model specific, general aviation knowledge, or operating environment testimony is needed, please let me explain the complexities of aviation in a simple, easily understandable, non-offensive way, that attorneys, judges, and juries can relate to.

Are you an officer in a Flying Club and actively looking for new members?  Are members in your club instructors 'in certificate only' and not as active or available as you would prefer?  I am often asked by renters what the benefits are to Club membership as compared to renting from an FBO.  Let me partner with your club to market it to new members and in return allow me to be your club's primary training instructor.  You get an additional monthly revenue stream, increased utilization rates for you airplanes, and a primary source for outstanding training.  Please check out my 'Flying Clubs' page for more information.

As I do not offer aircraft for rent, I am only available for instruction or aviation services in your airplane and/or your club's airplane so long as I meet the open-pilot clause on your insurance policy.  Please e-mail or call me for the most recent data of my make and model flight experience history.
